March 6 - 8 - RSCDS Belleville SCD Weekend

FIONA GRANT is from Bristol, England. As a student, she joined the Edinburgh University New Scotland Country Dance Society. Years later, Fiona is still dancing and now teaches a Scottish Country Dance general class in Bristol, and a beginners/improvers class in Bath. She especially likes to encourage others to dance, and has taught at St Andrews summer school, and at workshops in the UK, Europe, North America, and South Africa. She has successfully tutored students for their Unit 2+3 teaching exams.

Fiona loves to share her enthusiasm for interpreting Scottish music through country dancing, ceilidh dancing, and step dancing. She is an enthusiastic itinerant dancer, caller, and publicist for the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, and is happy to travel miles to hear a fine band play and to join in the dance.

Sept 27 - Oct 04 - 45th Australian Winter School

RSCDS Western Australia Branch invites dancers to join us at Muresk Institute in the Avon Valley, 96km east of Perth. Muresk Institute derives its name from the Dempsters of Muresk in Scotland who settled in this area in the 19th century.

Please join us for a great week of dancing with terrific teachers and musicians.

The town of Northam, seven kilometres away, contains many fine examples of 19th century architecture and is the home of hot air ballooning in Western Australia. In spring, this area on the edge of the West Australian wheatbelt is renowned for its wildflowers and birdlife.
