Peterborough Scottish Country Dance Society will be hosting the Stoney Lake Weekend on May 22—24, this year. This will be the 39th year for this event!
We are thrilled to announce that the guest teachers will be Blair Gerrie and Tristan Gerrie! Click here to see their bios.
Once again music will be provided by Don Bartlett and Blair Mackenzie. This duo creates beautiful dance music together. Click here to see their bios.
Dancing will be at the historic Upper Stoney Lake pavilion, a five-minute drive from Pine Vista resort. The resort is giving us a 10% discount but you can’t book it online. To arrange accommodation, Julie & Kevin Drain would like you to call 1-800-634-2848 or 705-877-2108.
Check out this brochure for more details. Also, take a look at lunch and dinner menus.

For those who haven’t attended before, the schedule is well paced: after dancing Friday night there is a get-acquainted time at the resort. Classes are Saturday morning at the pavilion. Afternoon is free time with option of ball dance rehearsal. You will be piped into dinner at Hobarts Restaurant overlooking Stoney Lake. The ball will be at the pavilion, with ceilidh afterwards at Pine Vista (bring your piece!). Sunday morning includes a brief, casual dance time and the weekend concludes with brunch.
Please email or call the Event Chair Jim Armstrong if you have any questions about the weekend plans: 905-706-0623 (jimarmstrong@xplornet.com)
