Dear Scarborough SCDers,
Well “thank-u, Thank-U, THANK-U” to our SIX stalwart members who made up “THEE” set at our last class. Using the “once and to the bottom” regimen we managed to cover challenging dances on the 2nd half of the April monthly dance programme! However, the “pièce de resistance” was dancing the Five Couple “Rannoch Moor” with only THREE Couples, having 2nd & 3rd Couples do “Double Duty” as 4th & 5th Couples!
Well “how time flies when you’re having fun” — only 5 classes are left, including our “Final Fling” on May 11! We are moving into “Ball” season, so if you have dances off forthcoming social programmes & balls you want covered. . . let me know ASAP. It can take a wee bit of time to get original instructions. To “Educate, Enlighten & Enhance” your dancing acumen, the nxt few classes will have a mini-symposium on 16-Bar Dances & 16/16 Bar Medleys published by RSCDS (see attachment), although U are “UN-LIKE-LY” to see them on many social programmes! I don’t intend to cover dances in the “Collins SCD” publication such as “Gay Gordons”, BUT if anyone has a “Burning Desire” for the odd dance, I’ll try to accommodate.
